Doreen Virtue (yes, that's her real name), holds B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees in Counseling Psychology.  She has appeared on Oprah, CNN, Good Morning America, Coast-to-Coast and many other television and radio programs.  A clairvoyant medium since childhood, Doreen is the fourth generation of spiritual healers in her family.  She is the best-selling author of the Healing with the Angels oracle cards and book.  Her other titles include, The Lightworkers Way; Angel Therapy; and The Care and Feeding of Indigo Children.

After surviving an armed car-jacking on July 15, 1995, Doreen Virtue, Ph.D., put away her shingle as a psychotherapist and began traveling the world teaching about angels.  She says that the voice of an angel provided life-saving guidance that ultimately saved her life during the car-jacking.

"I heard a loud male voice outside my right ear warn me that my car was going to be stolen," explains Virtue.  An hour later, she faced two men brandishing a gun and a knife in Anaheim, California.  "The same angel's voice told me to scream with all my might and resist the attack." Virtue added that normally she would have surrendered her car keys and knives and not resisted, but the angel's voice was compelling.

Her screams attracted the attention of a passerby who honked her car horn.  This noise caused people from a nearby building to rush outside and scare the two men away.  Virtue was unscathed, and still had her purse and car.  She knelt in the parking lot, thanking God for saving her life.  She asked God what she could do to repay the favor, and heard a voice tell her, "Go teach as many people as possible, as quickly as possible, that angels are real."

Virtue has traveled the world since that day, and regularly flies with her husband to far-away places like Australia and Europe to teach about angels.  She's appeared on CNN, Good Morning America, Oprah, The View, and many other shows.  She's also written over twenty books on the subject of angels.

"Angels are non-denominational, and everyone has a guardian angel with them," says Virtue.  She teaches audience members how to contact and hear their angels in her worldwide workshops.  Her workshop attendees come from all walks of life and age groups.  On October 9th, Virtue will speak about angels and how they can empower us all to make a difference in the world.
